The about us board at Rottingdean Whiteway Pre-School

About Us

We are a small and friendly Pre-School set in the heart of Rottingdean village, next to a local primary school and away from main roads. There is a small car park with extra parking on nearby roads. The Pre-School opened in 1978 and is a registered charity, run by our committee of parents. Teachers and parents work closely together to ensure the smooth running of the provision, with an extensive range of good quality educational equipment and lots of fun activities. We take the chilodren on short educational walks to explore the local environment, and parents come in to do cooking, baking and other activities.

Our regular annual events include a Christmas Party with Father Christmas, a Song Concert, Sports Day with Bouncy Castle. summer outing to Drusillas, and an end-of-year party with an Entertainer. We also have visits from the ‘Perform’ Drama Workshop and ‘Zoolab’.

Our teaching is tailored to suit the individual needs of each child, providing a learning environment to support and extend each child’s individual stage of learning and development. We pay particular attention to children’s early literacy and numeracy development, and the development of personal and social skills.

We have a team of qualified and highly experienced staff who are committed to providing our children with the very best quality education. We offer individual care and attention made possible by our high ratio of adults to children.
